Oracle Wyrms find solace in quiet, secluded areas with mist or fog, such as swamps, oceans, and in the valleys between mountains. In this environment, they enjoy hiding, spying, and contemplating deeply. Oracle Wyrms prefer to live in solitude away from other dragons. However, when they cross paths with one, these wyrms move their floating whiskers to enhance communication, often boasting the intricate riddles they’ve come up with. Their solitary nature has led to the belief that spotting one is a terrible omen and will bring misfortune. Despite this, these wyrms do not bring any harm or misfortune, but merely observe humans as well as animals, livestock, insects and whatever else they can find. They particularly enjoy observing small villages, occasionally inciting harmless mischief.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Gnomonic enjoys doing crafts. She makes too many things to use herself, so she gives them away as gifts. The human denizens of a number of settlements near her mountain base seem to understand that the mysterious individual who leaves presents in chests in town centers is the same one who purchases materials and equipment from them. Many humans must like her because when she returns to a town, under the cover of time magic, she often is greeted with paper, food, jewel bits, and other gifts. Gnomonic likes to bake sweets, and now able to easily acquire ingredients via trade and connections, she can indulge in her hobby. Once a full Aurax, she makes whorled buns with cinnamon sugar and leaves them for the humans. To make them unique, she sticks paper signs in the rolls saying things like, "tasty", "toothsome", "yummy", "delicious", etc. It took a while for the recipients to trust food from a stranger, but as far as Gnomonic can tell, her synonym rolls are a hit.
