Flamingo Wyverns are so named for their resemblance to the tropical birds with whom they often share territory. Their most striking feature is the bony black crest over their faces and snouts, larger in males, aiding both in digging up food and protection when fighting for mates. Males are duller in color than females due to their habit of wandering from nest to nest and picking from less algae-rich feeding grounds.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Serghei lives in a kingdom of fierce dragons where peace doesn't last long and is thought as a period of preparation for more war. Inter-territory conflict is a fact of life for him; if the borders shrink, the land risks being overrun by neighboring territories. Aside from that threat, Serghei doesn't have much to worry about. His job, ditch digging, is relatively peaceful, and few dragons vie for his position. He lives adjacent to a central hub area with some really nice architecture, and he likes to sit back and view the trees, structures, and suspensions during his midday respite.
