Cheese Dragons are not actually alive. They are enchanted items of food that act almost identically to dragons. They have no need to eat, but they must “live” in humid environments or they will dry out and harden.

Fondusish teh Paranoid Meltable was named because as a hatchling this tiny cheese dragon ventured out in the bright summer sun for too long and part of it melted. Luckily, the Magi dragons could reverse the damage. However, the incident scarred the tiny hatchling's psyche. Now as an adult, Fondusish will always stay in cool dark places for fear of ever melting again.
