Siyat Dragons are extremely smart and have an excellent memory. They are very quick and will often dive through the air making chirps and calls for attention if they feel ignored. Siyat dragons are herbivores and need to eat a lot to make up for all the energy they use with their excitable nature. Groups of Siyat Dragons have a hierarchical structure based on the color of their markings. It is thought that the social status of a dragon is determined by its incubation period—in addition to having different coloration, dragons allowed more time to develop are considered wiser and of higher status.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Tyrian is just as sly as he is wise. He's something of a trickster, preferring to talk in riddles and confuse others rather than engage them. For some reason, Tyrian just refuses to interact with anyone normally. He can never, never settle for a conversation, he has to make it a puzzle or a riddle or a soliloquy or something entirely else. Obviously, most are turned off by this and just ignore him, but there are a couple who are fascinated by his speeches and wish to engage with him. With these few, Tyrian is inseparably loyal. He entertains them with his puzzles and hosts them like a father, preparing meals and extravagant parties for them. Tyrian is a gifted magic user, able to use Air magic in creative and fun ways to test his friends and manipulate the world around him. It can be truly impressive! He refuses, however, to use his magic for violence. Tyrian is strongly against fighting and even hunting. He despises hurting any living creature and subsists entirely on plants.
