Canopy Dragons love to soar above the tropical jungles and other densely forested areas. Their billowing, layered wings create generous lift that allows them to ascend effortlessly over the warm jungle. While their unique wings do not make them the fastest flyers, they are champion gliders. To further this end, dexterity, maneuverability, and grace are all judged by the females when selecting their mates from the males that can accurately complete the exhausting and elaborate courtship dance between the close growing branches of the upper canopy.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Adrian has always been overtly nervous around other dragons, unable to find neither the words nor the will to communicate with them. Attempts at conversation would leave him slinking away always feeling as if he had done something wrong, with his frustration growing as he found himself unable to mimic this behaviour. Other dragons tried to reach out to him but his lack of ability to respond left them turning away, preferring to seek other company. Cursed with observant hearing, Adrian started to pick up others talking about him, and he became desperate for friends, throwing himself on any dragon who came near in the hope that they would like him. Just like him. It only took a short while for Adrian to realise that the less he spoke, the less he would give the others to talk about. He was different and before long he started to think of himself as a freak, refusing to dance in the normal mating rituals as his terror of rejection grew. He couldn't be rejected. Not again.
