Shallow Water Dragons are found in tropical regions where the water is warm. They use their magic to hunt, using bubbles to capture small fish and animals. Their large, webbed feet make them excellent swimmers and they are able to move at very high speeds. Due to their bright color, these dragons are easily spotted in the lagoons where they live.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Shining Goldfish is the eighteenth dragon here. From the moment he was laid, he was brought to the cave by his father Eternal-Flame to hatch. When he hatched, the first thing he saw was his father swinging his head toward him, smiling. He was greeted by cheers and smiles, as he was the first dragon to be bred here. As he grew, he learned about his father and mother, and his dragontender too. His father shooed him outside to the puddles, and took him farther and farther from home each day. The second he grew up, his father was taking him away. He came to what looked like the perfect home. It turned out his mother, Rain Droplets On A Puddle, lived there. He splashed into the water and greeted her happily. He knew he would stay forever. He still visits his Cave family sometimes. He is playful and welcoming like his mother, but loyal, protective, and more distant away from his true home, like his father. He is his parents pride and joy, and the perfect child to them.
