Neotropical Dragons are a breed that originate in rainforests. They are fun-loving and enjoy lounging on tree branches, eating whatever fruit they find. They are also often found sunning themselves on rocks, using their large wings to soak up the rays. In the summer, males compete for mates by showing off their striped wings and gliding in spirals down the tree trunks. It is said that the larger the wings, the more likely the male will attract a suitable mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

After taking some classes on tautology at Seven Questions University, Banana the Banana made friends with a human named Human and joined him in a campaign to rename the nearby town Town. This motion passed, and has been widely regretted—at first, because all the tourism groups had to redo their brochures, and then because ever since, tourists have asked what the name of the town is, and some still fail to grasp that the town is in fact called Town. Banana the Banana thinks this is the second-best thing that has ever happened to Town, second only to the humans' rule that banana-stealing in their area be governed by whatever rules make it through the bananas' committee meetings. Many humans have been trying to overrule this, but Banana the Banana, with help from Human and whomever else she manages to get the attention of when mass action is needed, has so far kept the Madder Jungle Administrative Committee in charge of banana-stealing. A success worth stealing bananas to celebrate!
