Avea Pygmies are extremely active dragons known for their aptitude for flight. They will often fly for long distances and are in a constant state of migration. Avea Pygmies live in large groups for protection and they will care for each others’ young. They are herbivores and especially like fruits and berries. When dealing with other species, Avea pygmies are short-tempered and quickly take offense. After one has offended an Avea, gifts and bribes are the best way to regain trust.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pygmy dragons are the smallest category of dragons, being on the same scale as domesticated animals. They are often found around concentrated populations of dragons, relying on their larger brethren to ward away potential predators and leave scraps. As such, the majority of a pygmy’s diet is scavenged. Due to their tiny size, pygmies do not breed with larger varieties of dragons.

User Description

Wherever the family stops to rest, Barajas keeps a tidy little den, circular on the inside with a smooth floor if possible, while most everyone else rests at an arbitrarily picked tree or tall grass patch. To someone looking at it from ground level, it looks like somebody covered a somewhat-flattened ball with mud and then extracted the ball. Since Barajas is the deputy of the group, it's assumed that it's her way of showing her importance, but even the matriarch doesn't really give a drake's tail about a temporary shelter looking good. The reason, which Barajas doesn't divulge, is that she feels satisfaction looking at the rounded walls, like they're meant to be that way. There's a swell of comfort and calmness that briefly clears her busy mind. If she says that to anyone, the others might think she's nutty and abase her and maybe revoke her position.
