Pink Dragons are primarily herbivores and only eat meat during the mating season, when mates will exchange kills. When it is not breeding season, pink dragons spend most of their time incubating eggs and caring for their clan’s young. Due to their feminine color, it was traditionally thought that pink dragons were a strictly female breed, but this is not true.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Heaven, as she is known in her cave, is a serene dragon and is used in the training of new dragon handlers because she is tolerant of mistakes. Whether a trainee makes a mistake in the harness setup and causes a rub or uses the wrong tools for removing debris from her hide, she doesn't snap, attack or screech. Many of the instructors favor her as well, because they never have to try and rescue their student from an angry, violent dragon if the student is working with Heaven.

She is just as calm with the dragon hatchlings. She keeps them in line, not with force and fear, but by taking even their petty concerns seriously and making sure they have something to keep them busy and out of trouble.
