Magnesium Amphipteres are a rather violent species. They ruthlessly drive out anything that dares to trespass on their territory, and spend much of their time flying tirelessly in wide circles as they hunt and patrol their space. Often a single individual shows aggression between even its own two heads as they fight for food and control over their body. They are not social and will only come together to mate, after which the two dragons return to their own territory almost instantly. Magnesium Amphipteres are named for their flames: these dragons can breathe blindingly bright, powdery flame from both heads.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Two-headed dragons are unique enough to deserve a separate classification from ordinary dragons. They have two necks, two brains, two mouths, but one stomach and one main body. The two heads usually work together, but there are times when they will fight each other, snapping back and forth. Their unique anatomy prevents them from breeding with single-headed dragons.

User Description

Slate is by far the most aggressive Magnesium in her family. Coming from the hostile, bitter Hakan and strangely violent Cell, one can only imagine how she'd turn out. Speaking of her parentage, Slate does not get along well with her family (nor anyone else, for that matter.) She is a solitary beast, much like most Magnesiums. She typically spends her time away from home, drifting about from place to place. She doesn't tend to stay in one area for too long, often too annoyed by whatever inhabitants she finds to bother. Her heads generally get along, although they are not above petty arguments with each other and will often hold grudges. The only way she really functions after such arguments is finding something (someone) she hates more than what she's squabbling over. Slate is not all that intelligent, but she is by no means stupid. She is a crafty huntress and fighter. In fact, she communicates mostly through fighting. It's how one must go about gaining her attention, if only a bit.
