Aww... It’s a cute baby drake. It blends in very well when it hides in tall grass.

Young drakes are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own.

Praxedis' owner thinks he's some sort of lizard. He keeps him in a basket and feeds him bugs and table scraps. Sometimes, the family ties ribbons on him and paints him amusing colors, which he stoically endures. Praxedis has no comment about living as someone's pet because he's a baby drake and cannot speak, but he seems happy.
