Terrae Dragons are primarily herbivores who prefer to eat from the tops of trees. However, due to their massive size, they must rely on small, specialized scales to absorb and convert energy from the sun. Since they live in tightly-knit groups, this form of energy absorption helps preserve the forests in which these dragons reside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This terrae's home forest was ravaged by a wildfire that scattered its surviving inhabitants and destroyed the local records stored within. The only personal item she took with her is a card in her belt that says "5CaT1". Her preferred name is "Scat". It suits her, she says. She has lived long enough with her adoptive terrae clan in Maroon Glow Glen that nobody blinks at her decision, though they still don't approve of it. She's outwardly cheery and enjoys helping around the territory doing whatever is requested, and she is in good standing with all clan members, but they're not too happy with her. They worry that Scat seems to spend a lot of time thinking about the disaster that displaced her years ago and musing to herself whether she deserved to survive over other dragons she deemed more important. If anyone, even her friends, asks her to talk about it, she'll darken and immediately leave the premises to be alone, pushing past the others if she must.
