Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It seems allergic to something, and every time it sneezes sparks shoot from its nose and mouth.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing. Small bolts of electricity occasionally fly off of it, zapping nearby objects.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Asea has been seemingly cursed with a permanent cold. Every day he will wake up, sneezing and spluttering, and drag himself over to the infirmary for the daily dose of herbs, which the healers claim should work, but never do. He's tried everything, from typical family recipes to getting cleansed by a priest, to no avail. What makes this situation worse is the sparks that fly off him every time he does sneeze, causing surrounding dragons to jump in shock and, in worst case scenarios, causing fire. Nights are always bad for Asea, as it was deemed unsafe for him to sleep in the cozy and warm, yet highly flammable bedding that is normally used, so Asea must sleep on a bed of rocks, curling uncomfortably up as he struggles to drift off. It is thought that Asea's fear of water stemmed from this constant sneezing, as every time he entered the water he would find the pool, once teeming full of dragons, empty.
