Magma Dragons are capable of withstanding the intense temperatures of their element. They live in volcanic regions, their bodies coated in the red hot magma which clings to their scales. They must leave the lava fields in order to hunt, although they require surprisingly little food to sustain their lumbering mass.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Aralim dreams of one day fulfilling his warrior destiny, living up to the traditions of his ancestors and doing them proud as he fights tooth and claw in a battle that only history can describe. He sees dying in battle as the only honourable way to pass and he will defend those he loves passionately, unafraid of the final end. Unfortunately for him, there are no fierce battles for him to fight in, nor any dramatic quests to prove his worth, or anything that would leave his name sketched across the legends. Aralim regrets this, yet feels guilty for it, as he is sure his ancestors did not look for trouble, and no honourable warrior would wish or the slaughter that is the inevitable result of a battle. Yet the feeling that he is doing something wrong haunts him daily, as he endlessly imagines himself saving the clans from anything, and his obsession with destiny has turned into a fight against his conscience to proof his worth to himself.
