Grave Dragons are not named for their connections to death or burial, but for the grave expression on their faces. This strange expression is used as a defense mechanism that causes fits of panic and terror in potential predators. Since they only eat ash and charcoal, they do not hunt. Grave Dragons are powerful fire-breathers and have been known to burn down forests and villages alike to make meals. It is believed that the markings on each Grave Dragon’s wings are the faces of those who have lost their lives in fires started by that dragon.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Cadell has long been ashamed of his wild heritage. The fact he is descended from such barbaric beasts, which even incubate their eggs, let alone have the ability to teleport repulses him, and he will blush profusely if it is brought up in conversation. A civilized dragon such as Cadell, who is intelligent and mature, surely deserves a greater heritage than then the wild dragons who probably don't even cook their prey before eating, it hardly bares thinking about. The mere idea that someone must link a dragon of his class with them is what keeps Cadell up at night, and he submerges himself in as much culture as he can in order to prove his sophistication to others around him, and although he would never admit it, to himself. He had hoped to marry into a rich ancestry, but to his dismay his partner was also directly descended from the wild, crushing his last hope of being able to hold his head high in society. The rumours they must spread about him however, are only present in his mind.
