Pumpkin Dragons are a very small breed, named after their affinity for pumpkins. They are always found living inside hollowed-out pumpkins, and are only seen during the harvest season. Young children often hollow out and decorate their pumpkins in the hope that a Pumpkin Dragon will make it his or her home.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pygmy dragons are the smallest category of dragons, being on the same scale as domesticated animals. They are often found around concentrated populations of dragons, relying on their larger brethren to ward away potential predators and leave scraps. As such, the majority of a pygmy’s diet is scavenged. Due to their tiny size, pygmies do not breed with larger varieties of dragons.

User Description

Detritivore wears a piece of a volcanic glass pebble on a cord. It was a gift from a friend—rather, it was a piece that broke off from one of the beads of a headscarf, that was then given to her, but she doesn't mind receiving a fraction of it because she couldn't wear a whole pebble, never mind the scarf. It came from the crazy dangerous place—she's too afraid to even say its name—and she's still a bit wary of this thing. Her friend who gifted it to her told her that his friend told him that some dragon told him that the piece came from Zarrus the Lean yadda-yadda's headscarf with 25 (now 24) pebbles. It had a spell cast on one of the beads to lead to an artifact of power, but the spell broke after Zarrus died. Detritivore's friend's friend is apparently disappointed about this, while she wouldn't have accepted even a piece of the scarf had its magic been active. She does find the shard pretty, and several humans have told her that she looks very striking with her pendant.
