Mint colored dragons are the most peaceful of all dragons; they only eat plants unless they scavenge meat from an already dead animal. They also have no ways to attack others or defend themselves. They are much smaller than other forms of dragons since they only double in size when they mature. Mint dragons are unable to use magic and cannot fly since they lack wings. Their looks have given rise to the common insult of calling dragons “large lizards.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

When she was a tiny wyrmling Reeao loved cats. She often tried to imitate the noise they make and was named after the onomatopoeia. But as she matured she found another love. When she was barely old enough to leave the nest and wandering alone to find a territory to call her own she chanced across a dragon that should have terrified her. But one of the many holes in the electric dragon's mangled wings was roughly cat-shaped and she took it as a sign of fate—she knew they were destined for each other. Reeao proved to be the first to look at O Loved X as a real dragon since the accident that left him flightless, and he fell in love with her as deeply as she had fallen with him.

The two now travel together, looking for Loved's parents so they can assure them that everything is alright. Reeao is less focused on the quest though, often distracting her mate and getting him to enjoy the here and now. Loved has many siblings so his parents aren't going to be lonely—though Reeao has no-one.
