Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

It was a beautiful day right in the middle of summer and everyone was out to enjoy the sunshine, humans and dragons alike. It didn't take long for a band to be thrown together and soon the air was full of music and song, with the occasional yelp of pain when someone was accidentally trodden on. A good time was being held by all, with the help of large amounts of beer and wine.

The only one not enjoying the festivities was Everlight, who was sulking in the shade of the trees at the edge of the forest. Her beautiful golden scales were so shiny even the smallest amount of light was reflected and on days like today, the glare was painful for anyone caught in it.
