Frilled Dragons are smaller than most other breeds, but when threatened, they stretch out their wings and frills to appear larger. They generally do not like to fight and prefer hiding to confrontation. Frilled dragons live in small groups and often band together to scare off potential threats. Males also use their frills as a way to attract mates, with those displaying the “best” frills being more likely to breed.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Real I's lives with her mother and spends a lot of time away from their cave network, where they moved to a few years ago and where they intend to stay for the rest of their lives. She occasionally helps her mother by tending the garden and hunting for food for the little ones. This woman adopts children left and right, so if she didn't have help from her kind network, she'd never have any time to train in illusion magic. Unlike her, Real I's has little interest in being a caregiver and does the chores out of a sense of duty to her mother. She doesn't interact directly with the babies and kiddies much, since they can probably sense her indifference and because when she stands with them too long, she feels a puzzling, unshakable urge to grab and eat them.
