And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Aama is one of the most obsessive worriers in the cave, as all the possibilities and probabilities build up in her head leaving her a nervous wreck within hours of waking that morning. Common sense is not something she possesses, as by the end of the day meteoroids will be crashing down upon her house and ruining the laundry she just did, even though she has not done any laundry that day. Her nervous eye twitch and jittery movements are easily traced back to the constant worrying, as she can barely leave something alone for even a second without freaking out about what could have happened to it. Her worrying is linked to caution, as she will rarely buy anything just in case something urgent comes up that she needs the money for, and spends her gold on only the bare necessities. Yet the gold she saves due to her caution leads to more worries that one day it will be stolen, however much her mate, Zen, assures her that this will not be the case.
