Welcome to Dragon Cave! Dragon Cave is an online adoptables game. Collect eggs, raise them to adulthood, and then breed them to create interesting lineages. New dragons are added regularly!
Shimmer-scale Dragons are a very beautiful breed with small—but highly reflective—scales that shimmer and shine as the dragon moves through water. They don’t have fins or webbed feet, but their long, eel-like bodies allow them to swim quite fast. They were once rumored to carry large pearls in their claws—causing many to seek them out in search of this fabulous treasure. In reality, the “pearl” is of greater value to the dragon, for the fabled treasure is actually an egg carried by a migrating female.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
Dulled Diamond is a male Shimmer-scale dragon. He takes his name from his coat, which is considerably less lustrous than the hides of the other Shimmer-scale dragons. Diamond always denies that he minds being constantly outshone, as he fears that admitting his envy of his sleeker kin will make him seem self-centered and shallow. As means of preventing himself from expressing this resentment, Diamond dwells in "The Dreaming Sea". The sea is home to many dragons, but the majority of the Shimmer-scale dragons prefer to live in freshwater lakes and rivers. This suits Diamond perfectly, as he does get along pleasantly with dragons of other breeds.
Despite his hidden sense of jealousy, Dulled Diamond is a nice dragon to be around and a loyal friend. He dislikes speaking ill of others and has never been heard to insult someone behind their back. Diamond's mate is a female Tinsel dragon called Foggy Fortune who shares with him the plight of being a duller member of a typically glossy breed.
