Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Dulled Fortune is a female Tinsel dragon whose main pastime is searching for rainbows. At a glance, this seems odd, as she isn't the type of dragon who appreciates the beauty of rainbows (or much else). However, Dulled Fortune desires the legendary wealth that exists at the other side of the rainbow, a pot filled with gold. The moment her friend and companion, Lyrical Sphere, told her about the riches which are rumoured to lie at the end of the rainbow, Dulled Fortune immediately volunteered to join the Daydream dragon in her quest to find the natural phenomena.

Dulled Fortune journeys across the Land of HeroHorse with Lyrical Sphere, seeking out rainbows as best she can. The pair of travellers have seen many rainbows, but the multicoloured phenomena always evade them. Despite all of her complaining, Dulled Fortune does believe that she and Lyrical Sphere have a chance at reaching the end of the rainbow and finding a pot of gleaming treasure.
