Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

After a long and tiresome journey, the male albino decided to take a nap at a river's side. He was a wanderer at heart, and while he mated with a female now and then, the wanderlust would always drive him away from them. He warned them of that when he approached them, though, since he didn't wish to break any hearts.

It was as he lay there, half-asleep, that a series of thumps and a pained shriek woke him. Lazily, he lifted his head to look for the source of the noise. A young female albino had fallen down a steep mountain passage and obviously had trouble standing on her left hind-leg. With a sigh he stood up, but he couldn't just leave her to her own demises in good conscience. So he examined her leg, told her to cool the ankle in the stream and went about gathering bandaging material. Her heartfelt thanks warmed him inside, and he stayed to chat for a little.

It was the first and the last time Novo Glow ever met his daughter, yet he would never realize who she had truly been.
