Blazeback Dragons live in active volcanic regions, rarely straying from such homes. Their skin is thick and extremely heat resistant, allowing them to swim in hot pools of lava. This lava ignites the oils secreted along the Blazeback’s spine, and in combination with their ability to cast fire magic, can keep the flames going indefinitely provided the dragon consumes enough mana to maintain its strength. An impressive intimidation tool, the flames also provide enough heat to keep Blazebacks warm on volcanic summits.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

A very rambunctious and competitive dragon, Trap of Smoke and Flames enjoys lava swimming and racing over any terrain (with an exception of rainy, wet, and aquatic ones). A brazen fire type, she acts out for attention, enjoying portraying herself as wild and uncontrollable. The only person she will take seriously is the caretaker who raised her, and even then the caretaker will occasionally explain that this Blazeback cannot currently be reasoned with. To satisfy this dragon's excitement over fire, her caretaker will often visit her and keep the fire on her back going while the dragon is asleep. Apparently this exercise has played a key part in developing trust and understanding between the dragon and her caretaker. While Trap of Smoke and Flames prefers to be elusive to improve her hunting success rate, the call of her caretaker will quickly bring her running over. She may act like a crazed mustang most of the time, but she has displayed undying loyalty to those few she trusts.
