Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Heaven is a very social dragon. She spends her time getting to know as many of the other dragons of the clan as possible, trying to become friends. Her efforts are not always accepted, but it never seems to faze her. Her mate, Light, fell in love with her at first glance, nearly blinded by the sun shining off the tinsel dragon's scales.

Heaven accepted light's advances without question, happy someone had actually gone to the trouble to be friends with her like she did for everyone else.
