Crystalline Dragons are a northern breed with icy skin and a ferocious temperament. Their scales are highly reflective and translucent, giving their hides a characteristic “ice crystal” appearance. Large and solitary, they roam mountainsides, tundras, and frozen wastes searching for food and occasionally mates. They have expansive territories and don’t generally roam far outside. If two similarly sized Crystalline Dragons do encounter each other, a vicious and explosive fight is soon to ensue.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The Pristine Ice Queen, a nickname she's picked up over the years, Glacia (Glaci) is as ferocious as they come. She lives high in the mountains of her home, hulled up in a castle of ice she herself constructed. Unlike other Crystallines, she tends not to roam too much, only during the winter solstice, when more terrifying beasts arrive in her home. Instead, she'll stay solitary in her castle, stocked with food and supplies, never letting anyone inside. She values her solitude and uses the mysteries surrounding her as weaponry, often using them to make herself sound more dangerous than she really is. She's quite intelligent in this manner, especially when it comes to social dilemmas. Having spent so much time watching villages of dragons below her interact, she has grown a decent handle on what to expect from their behavior, and she uses that to her advantage. Granted, she is also very strong physically, but is surprisingly weaker compared to other Crystallines.
