Sunbeam Drakes are the diurnal counterparts to Moonglow Drakes, their eggs having been laid during the daylight hours. They are around the size of a small dog, and while docile, can be flighty and easily startled. Most can be found high in treetops enjoying the bright sunlight, tucking themselves away at the first sign of a storm or impending nightfall. Sunbeam Drakes enjoy flying in the light of the sun, and their treetop dances are beautiful, dazzling, and serene.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

Malloii isn't very interested in humans but loves to watch them shepherd sheep. He is fascinated by those small two legged creatures controlling many woolly clouds. It especially interests him when there are big barking dogs involved, too. Malloii just doesn't understand how that many creatures can be controlled without mind control. He guesses that the sheep are too stupid to not listen.

If not observing, Malloii picks the best sheep for him and catches them for food. To bad farmers have noticed this harmful dragon and started to keep more dogs to shoo him away. As Mallaii can't leave these plains because of his clan, he leaves the farmers alone...but not for too long.
