Among the most elusive of dragon breeds are the Aeon Wyverns, a breed whose innate control over time mana marks them singular and great. They are able to peer into the multi-dimensional plane of time, seeing all that is, all that has been, and all that could be—within a small localized zone. When utilizing particularly strong magic, the black markings carved into an Aeon’s body glow a bright cyan, painting them in an ethereal blue light. In the past, they have been sought after as oracles to bring swift resolutions to major conflicts, but it is in exactly such sorts of times that they are nowhere to be found; rather than influence the outcome, Aeons much prefer to allow the natural order of things to progress, however grim that may be.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Some dragons know of Sterling and have heard the tales, but most of them don't believe he actually exists. That's to be expected of a creature as secretive as an aeon wyvern, but this one has a story. They say Sterling likes looking at the night sky, and a long time ago, he worked for a king as his sage. He observed the stars and planets and told stories about how they worked and what significance they had. When the king met a new sage, she explained celestial objects to him: their behaviors and the natural laws behind their patterns. Sterling was ousted because what he had been telling the king didn't line up with what the astronomer said. Hearing the tale for the first time, listeners might wonder if Sterling believed the things he said and whether he deserved to be left behind when a world moves on. Some people who relay the tale of Sterling don't care whether he's real but tell it to make their listeners think.
