Originating from a single species that thrived in ancient times, Xenowyrms have become an incredibly diverse breed whose appearances vary depending on their habitats. Each Xenowyrm subspecies is heavily reliant on the power of different types of mana, making them powerful magic users. Pyros are easily the heaviest of all Xenowyrm subspecies and they use their weight to their advantage. If scorching their foes with flames doesn’t finish them off, Pyros will use the weight of their bodies for sheer crushing power. They create their lairs solely in volcanic regions, where lava and billowing flames are the land’s most prominent features.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Say It with Hearts is the proud forever-mate to Cairo the Vanquisher. Their neighbors can only wonder how a fiery, cunning pyro xenowyrm like her and a sweet, dignified heartseeker like him even get along. Making him hers was a challenge, and Hearts loves puzzles and challenges. Cairo spent years helping couples come together but stayed single himself, for reasons he was embarrassed to divulge, but he let slip that he DOES have a type. Of course, Hearts wanted to figure him out. After months of snooping (when you're a pyro, you have to be REALLY sly), she learned Cairo's secrets: he is a closet punner, and he only has eyes for a specific dragon sub-subtype, the pyro xenowyrm. Woah. No wonder he's embarrassed. Nobody likes puns. Fortunately, Hearts enjoys wordplay of all kinds. After the "finding out" part, the "courting" part was easy. The heartseeker himself thought he'd never closely bond with anyone, but then came the perfect woman for him: a cunning pyro for the punning Cairo.
