Mundus Cantormaris Dragons are a gentle, friendly breed of coastal-dwellers. Their annual migrations at the start of spring are among the first indications that winter has ended. They use their beautiful calls to lure people with a desire for peace to them in an attempt to make lasting friendships. It is considered a sign of good luck for one to hear their calls.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Euphonize has a good ear for music and a knack for quickly making catchy melodies but hasn't yet found a lucrative way to make use of this ability. Some dragons have suggested composing or performing for pay, but that involves having an audience, and the mere possibility of someone not liking her or declaring her a hack is enough to dissuade her from trying. Euphonize learned as a hatchling that the world is a dangerous, nasty place, full of things that can kill her. She is too scared to interact with any creature as big as or larger than she because all she can imagine is all of the ways it could harm her. She sings a lot while in flight and hopes someone will just eventually leave gold and food at one of several locations she likes to rest at.
