Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Amarinesion is a Magi dragon, and like her Magi father Fierozasion and brother Kierzesian, a powerful magician whose powers are mre than a little out of control. Fortunately, she also takes after her calm Stone mother, Amarinthe, and keeps a relaxed attitude towards everything. This prevents her powers from slipping out of control as often as her father and brother's. But if her magic is unwittingly released, situations can go to extremes. The entire family cave vanished, reappeared on another world and (luckily) came back within an hour. All the dragons switched bodies, leaving dragons such as CloudFlare the SkyWing in Tysakinne the Stone's body, Kelarine the gentle Mint in Rose Satin the Red bully's body and so on. The situation was sorted out eventually, and Amarinesion decided it was better to release small bursts of magic if she was stressed than let her power out full blast.
