Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

His name means "Govern with Discretion" in Japanese. His mother chose that name because she was hoping he wouldn't make the same mistakes in life that she had. Keiji is the son of Sayo and Shuzo, who have never been mates. Keiji was raised mostly by his mother with his father visiting frequently. Keiji is an adventurous dragon, and used to get into all kinds of trouble growing up. His mother used to call him "Rascal" when he was little. Growing up, he wanted a whole family more than anything. Now he has two whole families, complete with lots of half brothers and sisters, and the most beautiful mate he could ever dream of. He is mated to Sachi, a gorgeous red dragon who fills his heart with fire and love, and his life with excitement and adventure. They met when they happened to be exploring the same cave system. They had so much in common, they were soon smiling, and feeling the first warm feelings of love. They always say that the greatest adventure in life is loving each other.
