Moonstone Dragons are named after the orb on their tails, which resembles the gem of the same name. They are nocturnal and gather energy through the absorption of moonlight with their orbs. They seem to glow with a lunar light and are a very gentle breed, feeding off of plants and the moons’ power.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Moonlit is a strange young dragoness, spending much of her time in chilled silence, gazing timidly away from the soft-colored orb on the end of her tail as it gives off the dull silvery glow of the moonlight. She utterly refuses to admit that she is truly terrified of the strange, foreign weight, despite appreciating the nocturnal energy it grants her. Moonlit often keeps her magnificent, feathery wings spread out behind her, so that if she ever looks back, she doesn't have to see the haunting orb. She always tells herself that it is nerve-wracking to feel the weight, but she would surely pass out or faint in terror if she ever set her oceanic-blue eyes on it. She is always tense and on guard when she needs to sleep, for she suspects that the orb may be sentient, and it could even have a murderous intent.
