As the nocturnal relative to Sunbeam Drakes, Moonglow Drakes are a secretive breed most active under the light of the moons and stars. They are wary of others, but are known to have incredible loyalty should their trust be won. Catching sight of Moonglow Drakes as they dance amid the moonlight is seen as a favorable omen by those they live near, and tamed individuals are common. They are slightly smaller than their cousins, averaging around the size of a cat.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

User Description

Ayo is a sweet little guy, a little ragged but carries himself with dignity, as dignified as a colorful drake can look. His owner enjoys his company while working in the study late at night and tells him many things: fun facts, jokes, deep and arcane secrets. Some folks believe that, even though he understands none of those words and isn't able to use magic, he somehow holds that information somewhere in his being, and they wish to extract it from him. Others say that that's silly, and he's just an ordinary pet and harming him would be a mean and fruitless endeavor. The only thing that people don't like about Ayo is that he likes to flit around the building or just outside, trying to snap up the lighter-flies. Sometimes, he'll even land on a receptacle and slurp up the bugs inside. Not only does that dim the area, he usually can't stomach the things and ends up puking luminous, mushy puddles. His owner is currently trying to train him from eating things he shouldn't.
