Despite their great size and strength, Celestial Dragons are a peaceful breed named for their spectral, starry appearance. Little else is known about them, as they spend the vast majority of their lives partially phased out of the plane of existence through the use of powerful magic. Celestial Dragons are thought to assume their corporeal form only long enough to reproduce or to die; the rest of the time, they resemble living, breathing constellations, impervious to all physical and magical harm.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Many eggs from the clutch of a Celestial Dragon need be abandoned whenever one is bred, as is traditional (and mandatory in some places). Starlight Stroll often uses his incorporeal form to visit and discover his friends and family. We've received reports that he has been seen conversing and debating philosophies with aggressive beings, such as his Vampire Dragon children. The fact that he is incorporeal and therefore inedible seems to provide for easier interactions with his daughter and son, Countess Dimitrescu and inflect'darkness. While he is not been present during many of his childen's hatchling years, he shows a special fondness for his them. He has expressed this to us many times in the hopes of changing how clutches of Celestial Dragon eggs are kept by humans. While he is fluent in dragon as well as a few human languages, having to speak human seems to rather offend him. He rarely speaks with us, and when he does speak to us, it is in a very stern and even tone.
