Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Growing up by the side of GLaDOS, watching dozens (if not hundreds) of dragons die, the young vampire would constantly wonder why. Why they still went on, broken and bloodied as they might be. Why they did not just give up and give in; why they just did not die. The response from GLaDOS was always the same: 'Because they will pass on.'

For a long time, she didn't understand. She was dead, after all—and she never did anything like that! She lived as peacefully as she could, with as little injury as possible. Eventually, it came to her. They were alive. Their lives were not endless like hers, they were in danger of losing it all at any moment. The living would press on, while the dead have nothing to fight for.

She now spends her days deep in thought, wondering just why she lives the strange half life of a vampire dragon.
