Sunrise Dragons are closely related to sunset dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunrise Dragons prefer to live in large groups and enjoy basking in the early morning sun. They are usually most active in the morning, and go to sleep in the early evening.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Hyunsa wanders one of the peaks of Pena aimlessly, trying to remember his goals. The 3rd Pink Sun Corp was sent to capture a mana-storage den in Golpeu Hill. Their leader, Hyunsa, entered the structure first, and he noticed too late the dyed paper and liquid mana script, evidence the place was rigged to pulverize itself. He ordered his group to retreat minutes before spells took effect, and the ensuing pulse hit him hardest. Hyunsa was among the 15-or-so dragons with mild physical injuries but whose memories were jumbled or wiped, and unlike the others, he wandered away from the site before he could be retrieved and rehabilitated. Alone, he learned to run and climb trees but is unable to fly; his diet includes bark, berries, mushrooms, snow, and other things that don't move; and he has a three-year-old hatchling's language-processing ability. He is constantly traveling, wondering if he's supposed to be doing something and unaware of the search parties looking for him.
