Delta Dragons are a small breed with a unique defense mechanism. While lacking a breath weapon or any other formidable powers, they can change their size at will. This allows them to evade predation from much larger creatures by shrinking down so as to be more evasive and harder to see, or to grow to a size that smaller predators will no longer bother them. These dragons live in harsh alpine desert environments and are very hardy. They can go days without water and tolerate a wide range of temperatures. Delta dragons choose a new mate every spring when the weather starts to warm and there is more plentiful rainfall. Together they build a nest out of sandstone on tall cliffs where they leave their eggs to develop without any further parental care.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

A lot of people are suspicious of Spywork and spread rumors about her because her name is Spywork. She's often two meters tall and seems to like being that size, but whenever she's not seen, she could be shrunk and doing clandestine, suspicious stuff. There are a lot of spies, and with a name like "Spywork", perhaps she's brazenly identifying as one.  Or... because with a name like "Spywork", surely that's too obvious, and her attested job of geographer really is her only job. Or maybe she's relying on others believing "Spywork" doing spywork is too obvious and thus not suspecting she could be up to no good, so she can be a spy right under their snouts. Or it's all a distraction to put attention on her and prevent them from suspecting one of her companions, who's the real spy... She wears an expression of faint amusement whenever she learns people are speculating wildly, and she has many measures to prevent harassment and prying into her affairs.
