Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Ridiculous Black Duke of Alt was welcomed with much fanfare when the Queen saw he hatched as an alt. So overjoyed was she to have a second gen pureblood alt, the Queen wed him to her alt daughter, thinking only how beautiful their even-gen alt babies would be.

It was at first a happy mating. R'Princess Alt Black was taken with the young Duke. He was intelligent and had some small gift of magic. Princess Alt was studying to be a magician and bonded with the studious Duke of Alt, whose passion was historic scrolls. The Queen kept urging him to join the guard, or even study under the Princess' tutor so that he might become a great mage. The Duke preferred history and genealogy, he had no gift on the battlefield, and his magic never surpassed children's tricks. The Queen began to disparage him, thinking him too weak for her daughter. Only the King's intervention kept the mating from being dissolved. The Duke now rarely leaves his study, being disdained by those loyal to the Queen.
