Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

When the dragons heard about an experiment in the neighborhood to create a vampire, a couple of snoopy dragons were dispatched to find out more. Some orange dragons, one red rookie, and a cave born hatched dragon made an attempt to a friendly wise guardian. The next day, the orange dragons came back and with them was this distinguished gentleman. All of the other dragons rested with the guardian and his nice band. This vampire doesn't want to bite, he needs to. He never bites rare dragons, but he likes to bite cave born eggs from time to time to change some of his victims into vampires. His favorite dinner is soft and very fresh, like a Canopy dragon egg. Each time he has to bite, he gets depressed. He feels he is the bad one who killed a dragon and he stays in his dark corner for many days, where no one will see him. They only recognize his sigh and sometimes this sounds like he's singing sad songs.
