Valentine eggs are only seen once a year. Adults’ mating seasons are very short, usually spanning a few weeks in the mid-to-late winter. These dragons were once reputed to be omens of good luck in love.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pulled Pork Jibblies is a marine-life-studying-person and inventor, and a promoter of crop diversity. She sometimes wonders if the humans have a word for "marine-life-studying-person", as the concept is clear in her head. She usually studies life in the oceans and, around early spring, moves inland to visit places where things are grown in large quantities (farms in particular). When Pulled Pork Jibblies was small, her caretakers often reminded her what kind of a person she could grow up to be: a leader, an innovator, an orator... They had the means and unconditional love to support her in any kind of venture, and they've always wanted her to aspire towards greatness and work to better herself. This she took with her through adulthood. She's never openly questioned why her guardians named her Pulled Pork Jibblies. Perhaps they just had strong feelings toward pulled pork.
