Golden Wyverns are known for their beautiful metallic scales and rumored magical abilities. Living high in the mountains, these dragons do not believe in killing for sport or pleasure. They will hunt only when hungry and defend themselves when provoked, but will avoid killing to the best of their abilities. Golden Wyverns often mingle with other dragons of similar color and take pride in their shimmering hide.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Oxyl is an architect in her Clan's mountains. She uses her knowledge of the Alpine landscape to construct elaborate pathways for flightless creatures to use; while she is offered food by her Clan in return for the service, she also just does it because she's charitable.

She is known for being very friendly but also fiercely benevolent. She has strong ethics which she will act upon with ferocity, no matter the apparent strength of her opponent, which can often get her in trouble. While many of her friends like to chastise her for wanting to be the hero in others' problems, those that she's saved are very grateful for her help. She especially enjoys offering flights to humans or small flightless dragons so that they can see the world from up high. When in need of help, one can always find an ally in Oxyl.
