Mimic Pygmies seem quite harmless during the day with their impish grins. However, at dusk they show their true nature, drawing on Death mana to imitate the voices of the dead, using their mimicry to lure the unsuspecting into an ambush. Once drawn into the circle of their colony, Mimic dragons will attack in a swarm, disabling their victim then settling down to lap up the welling blood from their still-living prey.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pygmy dragons are the smallest category of dragons, being on the same scale as domesticated animals. They are often found around concentrated populations of dragons, relying on their larger brethren to ward away potential predators and leave scraps. As such, the majority of a pygmy’s diet is scavenged. Due to their tiny size, pygmies do not breed with larger varieties of dragons.

Poonra is the only member of her colony left in Oncebrown. Eight years ago, something known only as the Invader entered Oncebrown and threatened their way of life. The flock had only bad feelings about this thing and wouldn't get near it. Poonra, however, was very curious and fearless, and she crept away during the day to see it. It was a big creature with big wings and pretty feathers, and she could feel a strong magical aura coming from it. The Invader spotted the purple pygmy and turned its piercing yet gentle gaze to her. Suddenly, Poonra no longer had a desire to inflict pain on others, and she also wished to stay in Oncebrown forever to be with the Invader. Her colony fled at some point; she doesn't remember when, but she doesn't care for them any longer because they're cruel and prey on others. She has only admiration for her friend, who is so good and gives her happy feelings and fills her belly, so she rarely feels hunger or sadness.
