Skystrider Dragons are known for almost never leaving the air as they have no other means of defense if attacked. The main exception to this rule is when they nest in the branches of ancient trees to sleep. This airborne tendency can make raising and keeping Skystrider Dragons an extra challenge. Males have a row of poisonous spines along their backs while females have a venomous bite. Skystrider Dragons mostly prey on birds and flying insects, leading their presence to be welcomed by farmers who often leave out treats hoping to lure a group nearby.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Beaver Food came from a place that was dangerous and horrifying. There, she had the lowest ranking among denizens because she's a poor flier for her breed. Her new home, called Aquebecker, is so peaceful that she's suspicious that it isn't real, maybe a long hallucination. She doesn't remember much about the old place, not even her name. The people who hauled her to the Aquebecker Medical Tower said they found her lying atop a beaver dam with numerous cuts and a dislocated jaw. During rehabilitation, many people asked her many questions, and those she couldn't answer led to wild speculation about her origin and intentions. Some hatchlings nicknamed her Beaver Food until she could remember her actual name or come up with a better one. So far, she hasn't seen any brawls. Nobody has beaten her for her low rank or for being bad at being a skystrider. It's totally different and weird. She has a job as courier for the Five Learning Houses and does her best work in case this is not a dream.
