Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

For reasons nobody quite knows, this fellow's name has been scratched out in all records. Townspeople and nearby dragons call him Fuad. When he's feeling up for some merrymaking, he'll join the friendly humans and dragons to celebrate their gift-giving and togetherness holidays. He also has a curious tradition of his own that has become the town's tradition, mostly out of an assumption that this is an important thing for him to do. Late at night on Christmas eve, he visits and beckons to all unmated young women—humans and dragons—and leads them outside. He keeps them in a group by circling around and keeping strays from wandering, though of course they can go home if they wish. When the sun appears at the horizon and all of the diurnal townsfolk begin to wake, he slowly escorts all of the ladies to the town square. Few people try to stop him from completing this ritual, but if someone unfamiliar with it asks Fuad what he's up to, he'll answer, "I herd the belles on Christmas Day".
