Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Contrarii is one of Kumo Clan's best fliers and is very prideful about that ability. He is stubborn and close-minded. Each opinion he has is very strong, and he will never change his opinion because he likes to feel like he's right. He is like that because his parents spoiled him when he was young. His personality is a problem because he disagrees with the alpha female Metiroku about many things and they will often get into quarrels. Contrarii has been kicked out of his Clan multiple times but brought back in whenever there were food shortages because he catches many creatures from the air. He welcomed a purple dragon named Crescut into the Clan and became her permanent mate. Crescut always knows what to say to calm Contrarii down, even though it all involves lies. She will always remain his favorite dragon.
