Sunsong Amphipteres are an unusual breed. Due to light interference caused by their magical nature, they don’t seem to be affected by any ambient light source. However, when struck by direct sunlight, they shine a brilliant gold. They are playful and ever in flight; their ethereal and mysterious appearance and the fact that they are usually only seen at a distance have led many to believe they are a symbol of hope and good fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

A spirited but rather dim-witted dragon, Vermiform is on a life quest to find a special group of bears. She was raised by an easygoing blue dragon and his human, both of whom taught her many important things, although she's since forgotten how to do arithmetic and spell big words. Her most important takeaway was that she's special and smart-in-a-different-way and should be wary of strangers' promises. When Vermiform turned 40 and decided to make her own way in the world, she was shocked to learn that neither of her caretakers were her biological parents. Despite all the love she had for her guardians, she was still curious and wanted to see (just see, not necessarily meet) someone responsible for her existence. All her adoptive parents could do was urge her to seek out her four bears, who likely look much like her. Vermiform has been flying over arbitrarily-picked lands, stopping every time she sees a bear to ask if it knows her biological parents. None of them seem to know.
