Silver Dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Silver females eat meat only when a male dragon brings it to them as part of courtship, though they are typically highly-independent. They possess an almost magical aura that lights up any place they are in, and are looked upon with awe by humans and animals alike.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Caunthea sits upon the summit of the snow topped mountain that many of her clan call home, her tears freezing on her silver scales. For many years she was in love with a dragon from a rival clan and met her lover in secret almost every day. The two of them were planning on running away together to start a clan of their own far across the sea, but it was not to be.

The vampire dragon Mamon discovered one of their secret trysts and set upon the intruder, tearing him to shreds. Horrified Cauthea fled to the top of the mountain and has refused to leave her perch ever since. Her gentle father Whysp and more aggressive mother Iryth can do little but wait and hope she meets someone who can mend her broken heart.
