Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Caroline Dhavernas was sired and raised by Bryan Fuller. During her first few years her clumsiness caused Bryan to be very concerned so he trained her harshly. She eventually learned proper co-ordination. Her co-ordination became so good that Bryan started training her as an assassin.

When Bryan decided she was ready, long after Caroline lost her patience, he decided to test her skills in the real world. With her newly formed wings she spent a long time finding a nest and then finding a good opportunity to steal from it. She completed her mission successfully and made Bryan proud. During her mission she had encountered Jashypoo for the first time.

Caroline helped Bryan find a place for his future clan. They found a place and ended up making Maw Vong the Messenger. She wasn't happy of this decision as Maw is a living dragon.
