Electric Dragons wield electricity with great prowess. Bright sparks race across these dragons’ bodies in a dazzling dance of light, complemented by the blindingly radiant sparks on their tails. Using their bellies and manes as stores for this electrical energy, Electric Dragons wield crackling magic, stunning and electrocuting their prey with a whip of their tail. During mating season it is typically those with the most brilliant sparks—an indicator of strength and hunting ability—that are drawn to each other.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Raikou is a temperamental and prideful dragon. His tendency to be easily angered and tend to take things a bit too serious for the other's liking makes him less than favourite to the other members in the group although there are some of them like Kuro and Suisei finds it amusing to tease him sometimes. Despite his temperament though, he never really raise his arm against the members of the group seriously, merely shocking them with a minor and mostly harmless jolt of electricity. During battle, he is a very fierce dragon, turning the enemies standing before him into ash with his electricity area attack. His prowess and the way his eyes produce sparks in battle has earned him the nickname: The Emperor of Lightning.
